Testimonials Kookaburra 1

We frequently change the testimonials reproduced here from comments in the Visitor Book.  If you regularly visit our site, you will be able to keep up to date with what our guests are saying about us and the boat.

Also we plan to provide up to date details about the success (or otherwise) of the fishing exploits of our crews, so you can know what is happening and whether it is worth bringing your fishing rods!

Pam & John & son 6 - Frankston Vic -  July 2003 - Our second trip on Kookaburra 1.  Spent Christmas 2000 on board for our first trip & returned to spend a winter week on board.  Magnificent !!  The quiet & solitude is so special !!  The time has gone so fast !!  Looking forward to our next trip already !

Johnson family  - Devenport Tasmania - May 2003 - A wonderful opportunity for us to have some much longed-for space after 5 weeks in a van.  The most enjoyable & relaxing break we've had together.  Will be back & will recommend to others.

Hayes family, Adelaide - (Late April 2003) - Superb weather, dark clear starry nights - 25 deg - 27 deg during the day.  Good fishing in Chowilla Creek (top spot).  Good cruising to Custom's House.  Great camp fires & cooking.  Plenty of wildlife.  Be here next year for sure.  THANKS WILKADENE

John & Gabby - Beaumont Adelaide - April 2003 - Another wonderful trip.  Thanks to the Wilkadene organisation we were able to enjoy the beauty & solitude of 'our River'.  50 species of bird sighted (feathered) an echidna, numerous emus & kangaroos.  A large goanna on the banks of the Amazon & of course the Southerm Cross.  Simple pleasures & abundant natural wonders rejuvenated our joy of living !!

Small family  Hallett Cove - 'GREAT TRIP'  Very relaxing & peaceful.  Magnificent lightning & thunderstorms at 'Devils Elbow'.  Being able to access backwaters is essential - bird life abundant away from traffic on river.  'Isle of Man' canoeing - saw numerous species of birds - too numerous to mention.  Yabbies, shrimps, carp (of course) & a few callop.  Wonderfully maintained & economical houseboat - loved the stereo - v, comfortable.

Hoyle family Kettering Tasmania - A very enjoyable week full of interest and numerous diversions.  Kookaburra 1 is a well appointed boat and presented with nice little touches.  She hardly missed a beat all week.  Love to come again and will definitely recommend it to all our friends.

King family Adelaide - We enjoyed another leisurely holiday on the Kookaburra 1.  Lovely walks, beautiful sunrises & sun-sets.  Highlights were canoe trips up the Pilby and feeding the Butcherbirds at 614.

G Vivian Adelaide - We have had a wonderful time, the boat was lovely.  We were really impressed by the attitude to the river - the use of environment friendly products etc.  The staff were wonderful & did everything possible to make our trip a success.  The boat was beautifully presented & had everything we could possibly need.

Reid family St Arnaud Vic - Had a really great holiday thanks to the well maintained and well equipped boat.  We have been on 5 other houseboats ranging from 2 to 12 berth boats and none of them have been equipped like this one.  None of the others had, reading material, videos, fishing gear, First Aid kit, cleaners, wine, nuts, fresh flowers, assortment of glasses, crockery etc. (great CD collection) the list just goes on.

Yeats family Valley View SA - Pleasantly surprised at all the home comfort and the good working order of everything.  Thank you for making our first run on the river so pleasant & trouble - free.
